Ryerson Market Spotlight Vendor: Marché 59 from Port Hope
Wednesday, May 11th kicked off the Market season at Ryerson University. Each week, we’ll be visiting the market to bring you a sneak peek into the produce, prepared foods and lunch options available each Wednesday. Our first featured vendor from the Ryerson Market is Marché 59. Marché 59, specialty food shop and bakery, is new to the Ryerson Market this year and we will be seeing them all summer long. They sell delicious certified organic goods made from the produce of their own P & H Farms in Port Hope. Their produce includes beans, corn, lettuces, melons, peas, radishes, spinach, tomatoes and squash.
Their bakery, located in Port Hope, is open all year long and makes fresh artisanal breads from their farm ingredients, incorporating a variety of wonderful grains and gluten free options. Marché 59 is also known for their french pastries and dessert delicacies such as cupcakes, cookies and croissants. Prices range from $3-$7.
If you’re looking for something more substantial to eat for lunch, Marché 59 also offers several different varieties of meat pies, quiches and pizza, made with local organic vegetables!
If you’re craving some delicious treats or quiche, stop by Marché 59 at our next Ryerson Market on May 25th from 11am-2pm. We can’t wait to see you there!
